The DukeCard is a vital part of life at Duke University. It is an all-encompassing identification card that virtually eliminates the need to carry cash on campus. The card accesses the Dining Account and the Flexible Spending (FLEX) Account.
The Dining Account is accepted for food purchases at:
- Campus dining facilities
- Convenience stores

- Vending machines
- Off-campus merchants that deliver food to campus

The Flexible Spending Account can be used to pay for items such as:
- Textbooks
- School supplies
- Photocopies and printing

- Laundry services
- Phone and cable TV bills
- Movie tickets

The DukeCard also controls access to:
- Residence halls
- Academic buildings
- Recreational facilities

- Parking gates
- Athletic events
- Special activities

The DukeCard Office (Univerisity) is open 24 hours per day to accept deposits, respond to account inquiries and replace lost or stolen cards.
