Dining Account
All undergraduate students living in University housing are required to purchase a Dining Account (also known as "POINTS"). The Dining Account is a pre-paid account used for the purchase of food items from campus dining facilities, convenience and grocery stores, vending machines and several off-campus merchants that deliver pizza and subs to campus.

First Year Board Plan
First year students living on East Campus are required to participate in a 12 meal per week board plan at the East Campus Marketplace. This plan is supplemented by a Dining Account, which is used to purchase meals not covered by the board plan.

FLEX Account
The Flexible Spending Account (“FLEX”) is an optional pre-paid account available to faculty, staff and students. FLEX can be used to purchase food items from campus dining facilities, stores and vending machines. FLEX can also be used to pay for items such as textbooks, school and office supplies, photocopies, laundry services, phone and cable TV bills, movie tickets and much more. The FLEX Account virtually eliminates the need to carry cash on campus.

Additional funds may be added to a Flexible Spending Account via cash, check, debit card or Bursar Charge. Send a check in the mail, visit the DukeCard Office, use a DukeCard Express Station or visit us
on-line.

Faculty Charge Account
Faculty members may apply for a charge account which allows them to purchase meals at campus dining facilities and have the bill deducted from their paycheck each month.
